Finding a solution

Simon had approached a number of software companies in a bid to find a solution but they were either too expensive or they didn’t really understand what I needed. Simon then approached James from Little Till and realised that “a bespoke system that understood the needs of the business was the solution.”

Simon and James worked together to navigate the needs of Giddens & Thompson and Little Till was used to help Simon monitor the constant price changes imposed by suppliers and pass these on to customers.

Little Till allowed Simon to update the prices and then when customers ordered online these refreshed costings would be applied to their orders. Having the figures in order also gave Simon greater control when doing his accounts and when ordering from his suppliers. The figures were all in one place. The system is ideal.

Simon then moved on and sold the business to Ben Wilson, who is the current owner of Giddens & Thompson.

Current situation

Ben has continued to use Little Till. When asked how he found the system, Ben, who is also an IT consultant, responded: “the functionality, when integrated with our website, allows you to buy the product by the exact weight, this is important in the greengrocery business as sizes and weights have to tally up.”

Ben combines this functionality with another ePOS system that he uses and finds that the two together work very well. Ben is delighted with the system and the tailored solutions that Little Till has put in place.
