Case study ― Wok Truck

Before using Little Till, chef and hospitality business owner Ian Cooke needed an ePOS system for his outside catering business, Wok Truck. As he is also chef at the Green Dragon he was familiar with Little Till. Ian had tried other ePOS systems having also owned and run a restaurant so he understood what he needed for his purposes.

An all-in-one system

Little Till stands out from other business management systems in that it provides so many extra services compared to a standard ePOS solution.

As Ian explained further, one of the functions that made Little Till stand out to me, which is very useful and is usually sold as an additional piece of software with other systems, is the Task Manager. You can assign a set of tasks which need to be performed on a regular basis, and the system will prompt you when these need to be done.

Ordering

While Ian agrees that most other systems will have a purchase ordering function, Little Till is “all encompassing and offers far greater functionality.” For example, once you’ve accessed the home screen it’s easy to use the dashboard, the web shop, sales figures and the ePOS system.

You can then go on to monitor the staff management screens, this includes staff training, certification ― essential in the hospitality industry. Being able to monitor staff training gives Little Till an advantage over other systems. These elements can be used in any industry: warehouses and retail are just a couple of examples of the system’s flexibility.

Tasks

What contributes to Little Till’s usefulness is all the reports you can access smoothly. Ian is delighted with how Little Till works within his catering environment; it has every feature that you need to run your business.

Explaining how he uses the system, Ian explains that the software is browser-driven, “you just log into your browser address and it’s very simple, no additional hardware or software is needed, no downloads, you just log in and you’re good to go.

A promising system

Before using Little Till, Ian was familiar with Square but on meeting James and working with the Little Truck Beta version, Ian is now a fan of the system. Overall, I think that Little Till is a better product than so many others on the market said Ian. He’s delighted to recommend it to colleagues and fellow business owners.
